From the Ashes… Still We Rise

Housing is where we start. Not where we stop.

Phoenix Rising Community Empowerment provides safe transitional housing and the wraparound support that has to come with it — case management, behavioral health, life skills, financial literacy, and employment readiness — so that stability lasts after the housing ends.

Tax-deductible. Phoenix Rising is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. EIN 33-4639469.

Homelessness

Safe, stable transitional housing as the foundation everything else is built on.

Unemployment

Skills, certifications, and real work experience that lead to durable income.

Recidivism

The support and opportunity that make returning to incarceration far less likely.

Our model

Five stages, one continuous path.

Most programs address one piece of a person's situation and hand off the rest. Phoenix Rising is built to carry someone the whole way — from a safe place to sleep through to a job that sustains a household.

STAGE 01

Housing

Safe transitional housing that removes the daily crisis of not knowing where you'll sleep.

STAGE 02

Healing

Behavioral health resources and individualized case management addressing what caused the crisis.

STAGE 03

Education

Life-skills development and financial literacy — the practical capabilities stability depends on.

STAGE 04

Workforce

Employment readiness and training toward industry-recognized, marketable credentials.

STAGE 05

Employment

Meaningful work and real experience that turn a placement into a career.

Programs

What we provide today.

Delivered individually, because no two people arrive with the same history or the same barriers.

Transitional Housing

Safe, stable housing for individuals working toward independence — the precondition for everything that follows.

Wraparound Case Management

An individualized plan built with each participant, coordinating the services they actually need.

  • Behavioral health resources
  • Benefits and documentation support
  • Ongoing one-to-one case management

Life Skills & Financial Literacy

Practical capability-building: budgeting, banking, credit, tenancy, and the daily systems that keep stability from slipping.

Employment Readiness

Résumé development, interview preparation, workplace expectations, and placement support through our employer and community partnerships.

In development

Where Phoenix Rising is going.

Our long-term vision is an organization that doesn't only place people into jobs, but creates them — becoming increasingly self-sustaining while widening the path for the people we serve. The initiatives below are in development and not yet operating.

Phoenix Rising Skilled Trades Academy

A workforce development initiative providing hands-on training in construction and other high-demand skilled trades — equipping participants with marketable skills, industry-recognized certifications, and access to careers that pay enough to build a life on.

Mission-Driven Social Enterprises

Businesses owned and operated by Phoenix Rising that employ our own graduates, providing real work experience while generating revenue that sustains the organization's programs.
